MY INTRODUCTION

I am jonalyn, i was born on june 10, at buklod senator ninoy aquino sultan kudarat. I'm 19 years old. I am the third daughter of the family. I was taking my course at  SULTAN KUDARAT STATE UNIVERSITY, TACURONG CITY CAMPUS, taking the course of BACHELOR OF SCIENCE AND ENTREPRENUERIAL MANAGEMENT. In my high school life i have an experience that i never forget like my first love jejeje... High school life is a such a wonderful feelings its not like being in college that we have to focus doing study so we can be a successful  someday.

WHAT IS LOVE FOR ME

Love is not a matter of counting the years it's making the years. True love has no limits, if you judge people  you have no time to love them. Love is the beauty of the soul. Love cures people both the one who gives it and the one who receive it. Love is a promise, love is a souvenir, once given never forgotten, never let it disappear. Love is not a desire for beauty, it is a yearing for completion, in love one and one if only you could love enough you would be the happiest and most powerful being in the world.

MY AMBITION IN LIFE

People have dreams in their lives. Many aspire to be rich or to become business tycoons. Some persons dream of becoming leaders, politicians and social reformers. Some aspire to become the leading hooligans and anti-social elements of their localities or cities and this is a bad aspiration. There are others who have a craze for becoming poets, writers and novelists while most of us generally have a desire of becoming engineers, doctors and scientists of great repute. There are very few persons who are happy-go-lucky by nature and have no clear-cut aims in their lives.
I  have very ambitious aims in my life. I wish to become a mill-owner or a multi-millionaire. The some object of my life is to lead a life of simplicity and goodness devoted to the service of humanity. The life of a politician would not suit me as most of such persons have become parasites on the society.
The motto of this life, ‘simple living and high thinking’  & inspires me to take up this profession.
Inspite of these hardships I would like to become a businesswoman. I have reasons and considerations for adopting this profession. Since my early childhood, I always dream to have my own label or name. I feel that as a businesswoman, I can help other people in widening their outlook by giving them knowledge. I shall help the country by becoming a good citizens. Moreover, the company of the young children would also help me in remaining young and fresh in thoughts and outlook. Besides rendering all these important services, I shall also have the means of subsistence. I have a great faith in the life of a noble and an ideal businesswoman because they are the custodians of the highest values.

MY FAVORITE SONG

I'LL BE OVER YOU

          Some people live their dreams
Some people close their eyes
Some people's destiny
Passes by

There are no guarantees
There are no alibis
That's how our love must be
Don't ask why

It takes some time
God knows how long
I know that I can forget you

As soon as my heart stops breakin'
Anticipating
As soon as forever is through
I'll be over you

Remembering times gone by
Promises we once made
What are the reasons why
Nothing stays the same

There were the nights holding you close
Someday I'll try to forget them
Someday I'll be over you
       1. THE ISLES OF MY PORTFOLIO IN ENGLISH 121(writing in the discipline)

Chapter 1. Avoiding Sentence Errors

Some nouns that are plural in form but singular in meaning require a singular verb: economics, news, mathematics, summons, mumps, and so on.
Economics is a social science, not a pure science.
Exceptions: assets, earnings, premises, proceeds, quarters (These plural-form nouns, though singular in meaning, use a plural verb.)
Last year's earnings were up from 2001!
Our greatest assets are our employees

Chapter 2. Levels of Usage

I tend to use a formal level of usage, and only occasionally dip into a conversational level of usage. In general I use a formal level of usage for everyday conversation, but there are those days that I just use whatever level of usage that comes out. Whether it be formal, conversational, intimate, or any other level. Most times the meanings of what I say and write are literal to the word's themselves, and not have alternate meanings. As well as with my usage, there are some times in which I use double-meanings, alternate connotations, and figurative language. It just depends on how I feel that day, and who I'm dealing with.

Chapter 3. Verb Usage

A verb is a part of speech that usually denotes action ("bring", "read"), occurrence ("to decompose" (itself), "to glitter"), or a state of being ("exist", "live", "soak", "stand"). Depending on the language, a verb may vary in form according to many factors, possibly including its tense, aspect, mood and voice. It may also agree with the person, gender, and/or number of some of its arguments (what we usually call subject, object, etc.).
Verbs can be conveyed in many ways. Lets look in particular at the word "wear"
She wears a pink dress - This sentence is made up of three main parts, she, being the noun. Wears, being an action or 'doing' word. Pink, describing the noun about to be added to the sentence and, Dress, the noun which pulls all these words together (giving them all one key point) to complete the sentence.
Chapter 4. Pronoun Usage

Nominative case pronouns are used ONLY as subjects or predicate nominatives. Objective case pronouns are used ONLY as direct objects, indirect objects, or objects of prepositions.
Note: An appositive pronoun is nominative case when the appositive renames a subject or a predicate nominative. An appositive pronoun is objective case when it renames a direct object, an indirect object or the object of a preposition.
EXAMPLES
The Queen and I had tea together.
          NOT
The Queen and me had tea together.

    Subject = I
Use I because it is a nominative case pronoun.
King John and she were friends.
          NOT
King John and her were friends.

     Subject = she
Use she because it is a nominative case pronoun.
The winner is she.
         NOT
The winner is her.

     Predicate nominative = she
Use she because it is a nominative case pronoun.
The President gave him the Medal of Honor.
     Indirect object = him
Use him because it is an objective case pronoun.
The police stopped them at the interstate exit.
     Direct object = them
Use them because it is an objective case pronoun.

Chapter 5. Subject and Verb Agreement

The basic idea of subject and verb agreement is very simple. You must make sure that both the subject and verb are singular or that both are plural. In this section you will learn to identify singular and plural subjects. You will also learn to determine if a verb is singular or plural.

Chapter 6. Pronoun and Antecedent Agreement

Antecedent  are the nouns ( or the words that take the place of nouns) for which  stand. Although the word antecedents comes from a Latin word meaning "to go before" antecedent often   follows its pronoun. In this section you will learn how to make a pronoun agree with its antecedent.

Chapter 7. Adjective and Adverb Usage

Adjectives and adverbs are important parts of speech because , they  describe, add color , clarify, and make   distinctive. A carefully chosen adjective or adverb often turns an ordinary sentence into a superior one.
These modifiers are also important because they are used to make comparison. In the first section  of this chapter, you will learn how to form  the various adjectives and adverb used in comparisons. In the second  section, you will learn how to avoid a number of common usage problems involving comparison.

Chapter 8. Miscellaneous Problems in Usage

Writers need to choose their words carefully to make sure that they are not confusing words that sound alike or have similar but slightly different meanings or that they are not using an incorrect word or expression.
Part of the fascination with space travel is the element of the unknown—the conviction that it's different from earthbound experiences. And it is.
—from "Single Room, Earth View" written by astronaut Sally Ride
The sentences correctly used it's (instead of its) and different from (instead ofdifferent than).

Negative Sentences

Do not use two negative words in the same clause. That creates an error called adouble negative.
Double Negative – I can't wait no longer.
Correct – I can't wait any longer.
Correct – I can wait no longer.
The most common negative words are nevernonobodynonenotnothing, andnowhere. Other negative words to watch out for are barelybuthardly, andscarcely.
Double Negative – There isn't but one cookie left.
Correct – There is only one cookie left.
Double Negative – I couldn't hardly wait.
Correct – I could hardly wait.

Common Usage Problems

Many words that have similar meanings, spellings, or sounds are confused for each other. Here are some pairs that give writers and speakers trouble:
accept / except beside / besides set / sit
affect / effect farther / further than / then
all ready / already lay / lie their / there
among / between of / have to / too
bad / badly saw / seen where / that

III. WRITING IN THE DISCIPLINE AS A PLATFORM IN EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Sustainable development has become the El Dorado of modern times, a vaguely charted dream of everlasting wealth pursued by the rich with too little concern for the poor. Exploration resumes at the Rio+20 Conference in June when world leaders will be reminded that their parochial troubles have no lasting remedy unless planet earth provides for all the human family. In the words of UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon: Sustainable development is the imperative of the twenty-first century.

IV. Reflection in English 121

Chapter 1: AVOIDING SENTENCE ERRORS
My reflection about avoiding sentence errors, they are very important in our daily life most especially in the students. We can use it in in making papers works so that our output is in correct form, easily to understand and it is very interesting in reading. Avoiding sentence errors has a big advantage to our development most especially in writing skills, because being careless in constructing sentence it can cause misunderstanding between the reader and the writer.

Chapter 2: LEVELS OF USAGE
In this chapter the level of usage contains the varieties of an English, the standard English and non-standard. You will learn how to make and how to write believable analogue.

Chapter 3: VERB USAGE
Verb usage is one of the major consideration in constructing sentence, because our verb must always agree in your subject. Verb usage is very important in writing, it has the major function for the sentence that we construct, because verb usage serves us the indicator of the subjects in the sentence and we must remember that verb has the heart of the sentence.

Chapter 4: PRONOUN USAGE
We known pronoun assumes the function of noun. They are also called noun replacer. Pronoun usage has a great deal. Example, in making one paragraph of avoids repeating the name of a noun and your paragraph to come awkward in reading. This usage helps to catch the eye of the readers.

Chapter 5: SUBJECT VERB AGREEMENT
Subject verb agreement is very common reason in English, but it is very important in studying English. That reminds us that your subject must be coincide to the verb and the verbs must also correspond also to the subject. The subject verb agreement always having neutral connection that we called give and take relationship because if you apply it you can able to commit constructing of sentence.

Chapter 6: PRONOUN AND ANTECEDENT AGREEMENT
In this chapter when we say antecedent are nouns for which pronouns stand in this section you will learn how to make a pronoun agree with it's antecedents. Pronoun and antecedent agreement it is one general rules that grows all the others.

Chapter 7: ADJECTIVE AND ADVERB USAGE
The use of adjective and adverb usage is can make difference between a dull sentence and an interesting one. All skilled writers use these two parts of speech must an artist uses of colors, and for shade of meaning the important use of adjective and adverb usage to make comparison. In this chapter, adjective and adverb usage will show you how to form different adjectives and adverbs in order to make comparison and we will explain ways of avoiding some common usage problems involving comparisons.

Chapter 8: MISCELLANEOUS PROBLEM IN USAGE
In my own reflection this chapter sometimes same words cause problems merely because they have similar meaning and spellings. You will learn how to form negative sentences correctly, and you will study at least and trouble some words and expressions. In this usage we have eighty common problem usage.
